The Sutherland Center at CU is located in the Raimy Psychology Clinic, on the 2nd floor of the Muenzinger Psychology Building on the CU-Boulder campus. Note that there is no public parking in front of the building.
Parking Option A: The Euclid AutoPark (EAP) is the closest and easiest place for visitors to park before 5 pm. It is located on Euclid Avenue between Broadway and 18th Street (east of the UMC) and is open from 7am to 11:30 pm each day. From 7am to 5pm M-F, the parking rate is $1.75 per hour up to three hours, and $3 per hour thereafter. The parking fee is $3 from 5pm until midnight each weeknight and all day Saturday and Sunday. EAP accepts payment by check and cash.
If you park in this deck, find the road that runs north-south, on the east side of the deck (18th St). Walk north on this road. The road will bend to the right, heading east. Just after the bend, the Muenzinger Building will be on your left. If you see Folsom Field (the football stadium), you've gone too far. Walk up the concrete steps to the front door (or use the handicap-accessible door on the west side of the building).
**SUMMER 2013 CONSTRUCTION: Please note that there is construction on 18th St between Euclid Autopark and Muenzinger Psychology Building. From Euclid, walk north on 18th St until you reach the "Road Closed" sign. Cross the street and continue on the sidewalk heading east, then take the first side walk on your left (heading north). Cross the street and you will be at the main entrance of the Muenzinger Building.
Parking Option B: There is limited metered parking on Colorado Avenue, east of the Muenzinger Psychology Building, between Folsom Street and the traffic circle in front of Folsom Field. Meters are in effect daily 7:30 am to 5 pm and only accept coins. These meters are an excellent (free and convenient) option if you are coming after 5 pm.
If you park at one of these meters, walk west on Colorado Avenue. The Muenzinger Building will be on your right, just before the bend in the road. Walk up the concrete steps to the front door (or use the handicap-accessible door on the west side of the building).
In the Building: From the front entrance (South-facing door), make a sharp right for the elevator or a sharp left for the stairs. Go to the 2nd floor. Out of the staircase, make a right; the hall will dead-end almost immediately and the "Raimy Clinic" will be on your left. From the elevator, the clinic doors will be directly in front of you. Go through the double doors. For all services other than group meetings, please wait in the clinic waiting room for your treatment provider. For therapy groups, turn right and continue down the hall to the last suite on your left; groups meet in room D216A.
Note: The Sutherland Seminar Series is held in Muenzinger room E214 for the evening series. The lunchtime series may be held in various rooms (usually, but not necessarily, in the Muenzinger Psychology Building); see the Seminar Series schedule for the location of the series you will be attending.
Note: Sutherland Center consulting psychiatrists (Dr. Suddath) see patients at their private practice offices. You can receive directions from the psychiatrists’ office staff.
