How Your Money Helps PDF Print E-mail

The Sutherland Foundation needs your help. Since 2001, the Sutherland Center has provided evaluation and treatment services for over 800 individuals and families. That's the good news.

The troubling news is that there is a six month backlog for people seeking the Sutherland Center's services. For some, waiting six months is manageable - for others it is devastating and potentially life threatening. The Center's success has resulted in increased numbers of people seeking our services. YOUR HELP IS NEEDED MORE THAN EVER.

In addition, with your help we can continue to expand our programs. While the greatest financial need is helping those who are unable (generally due to limited financial resources) to obtain comprehensive psychiatric and psychological services in the community, others with the financial resources need help getting proper diagnoses and learning about the disorder.  PLEASE HELP US HELP OTHERS IN NEED.

With your membership, the Sutherland Foundation will continue to help those in need.

For example, a donation of $50 will allow one new patient at the Sutherland Center at CU to receive a comprehensive psychodiagnostic evaluation with a written report that clearly describes diagnoses and treatment recommendations.

A $100 membership contribution would fund two sessions of the 6-week Psychoeducation Group for patients and families.

At $365 you can provide one month of comprehensive care (weekly individual psychotherapy, bi-weekly medication management appointments, and a weekly skills training therapy group) for the average Center patient.

No matter how big or small, your contribution is vital to helping the Sutherland Foundation accomplish its mission.

Together we can help improve the lives of people with bipolar disorder and their families through diagnosis, comprehensive treatment and education.
